We have been studying the format and language features of the text type - Letter to the Editor where you can express your points of views - opinions on a given topic - usually something that you have read in a newspaper about different issues in your community. Last week you were supposed to write a draft of Letter of Opinion on Banning Smoking in Restaurants.
Next task:
Choose a newspaper article from a newspaper (The Leader/Daily Telegraph/Sydney Morning Herald) and write your opinion on the issue in that article.
Make sure you write your statement of opinion as an introduction of your letter and then the arguments - evidence of your opinion. In the last paragraph restate your point of view and don't forget to give any
suggestions
